when you have just made a cuppa, if you put the milk in and leave it a while will the temperature difference be less than without milk. I vaguely remember doing something about this in high school physics but cant remember the correct answer.

the milk cools it down

If the milk is the same temperature as the coffee, then the total mass in the mug will increase and will have more "thermal inertia" BUT, no one adds hot milk to coffee.

What generally happens is the milk cools down the coffee when added, but then the rate of temperature decrease is slower because the temperature difference to room temperature is less.

Ultimately it is just a perception that the coffee with milk cools down more slowly.

If the milk has the same temperature as the tea/coffee, than the obvious answer will be yes. The addition will make it thicker therefore takes longer to cool.

erm no, the milk (assuming it's cold) will lower the temperature of the tea/coffee slightly on inpact but not really making any difference in the long tem temperature of the beverage.

is it formula? why not just put warm water in there and mix it in the bottle. Fresh breast milk will be good for 8 hours. ***OK sorry idk then, my partener makes coffee when he goes to work and its still good after 12 hours so I would say its ok.
