Richard Connell passed away in 1949, and I'm not sure if his works are in the public domain at this point. I would like to know if anyone knows who owns the rights to the story, mostly who owns the film rights.

Copyright was renewed in 1966 by Thomas C. Benet, Stephanie B. Mahin and Rachael Benet Lewis
