Cause they were mean and just cause Rudolph was different they laughed at him...silly reindeer.

All of the other reindeer used to laugh and call him names. They were intolerant of his unique physical feature. But in spite of this prejudice, he rose to be a great leader for Santa and the other reindeer. I bet they were sorry after that for not letting him play.

Because he had a red nose.And everyone fears anything different and unique...fear turns to hate like has been seen before so many times.People are just like the reindeer yet no one learns the lesson..and the ending?Where Rudolf is finally accepted?It sends a negative message and I doubt many really notice it.It says,basically,that until one does something normal (by everyone else's standards) one won't be accepted.Rudolf shoul'dve sent them all to hell.

Because they had no red nose. They were jelous of Rudolf and wanted to be like him but they couoldn't so they punished him by not playing with him.
