OK, This is my first time EVER being in trouble with the law, I know I made a mistake, I am charged with a level 7 felony for 1 count of Forgery. I was granted diversion, however after learning of all the ridiculous costs involved, including driving an hour evey week to take classes that I cannot afford, I am not going to be able to pay any money. I am already in debt with everyday life and do not see this working.

My question is Will I go to jail or maybe probabtion if I do not pay back any of the 300.00 dollars I stole? And what are my rights on all this?

I am very poor and my public defender has not returned my calls.

If you do not pay, your in violation of your diversion. Yes, you will go to jail for the full term. Try getting a second job. 300.00? you can make that in 2 weeks working a second job.

Hopefully you learned a lesson.
