Why does it rain so much in the Seattle, WA area??

it rains so much due to the fact that moisture coming off the Pacific Ocean also mixes with cold, dry air coming out of Canada. moist warm air, and cold dry air doesn't mix, so you get all kinds of weather disturbances in all kinds and varieties over land and over water

Its all in the Jet Stream also. Since the Jet typically travels so far to the north in the summer, it usually sets the Seattle area for rainy consitions, also with thhe sdded moisture in the air, The clouds also keeps you guys pretty chilly. In the winter, it still may track over Seattly, but sometimes, it may track a tad further south, which is why So. Cal has their rainy seasno during the winter and why it's so cold in the Noth and eastern portion of the country.

It does seem that we get alot of rain but infact our yearly average in the Seattle is less than alot of places get in a week.

escpecialy during tornado and huricane season

And quit picking on Seattle ( LOL)

Because it is right on the coast and in a warm climate. The heat absorbs the water into the atmoshere and hence it rains.

it is so much rain because the clouds are so dense and the space shuttle is messing the weather up too.
