I've seen so many children just abandoned by their fathers that it makes me wonder how these men sleep at night? I know, some women do this as well, but the overwhelming majority are men.
What's it all about?
Most men blame the mothers, but I am sure that if the mothers had possession of your sports car you would fight hell and high water to regain possession. So why not your kids?

oh come on honey! MOST men when they split up from their partner haven't a cats chance in hell of getting any custody, some mums make up stories, make it as awkward as possible for dads so that the dads think that its easier to give up to protect the kids feelings of being battered from taking sides against the parents.
At least if it was a sports car the dads were fighting for they would have a fair chance

I have 2 children from a broken down marriage and I have them over every weekend without fail. I pay for their upkeep every week and would put them before anything that I own. I would give away everything that I own to have my children. Some people do walk away from their childrens lives but there is also a lot of us that treasure our loved ones, and simply could not be without them.

It boils down to how both their parents treated them. Yes it is true a lot of times it is the fathers fault. But the biggest reason is that both parents were not ready to be parents. Therefore the children(usually raised by mom or grandma),then resent their father's,but because they don't know that it can be any different that is the exact type of man they look for(girls)or become(boys).

Once divorced the man is considering himself single again. That means he wants toys. Even if the failed marriage is his fault he'll assume its yours (why shouldn't he, you're not around to argue your point anymore?). Therefore you wanted him out and only his money to look after the kids. Why should he waste it on whats half yours anyway?

He's a free man now!

I can only answer this with a resounding YES. My husband walked out and has not been to see our son for about a year now. he has done everything to avoid paying any maintenance and just doesn't seem to care.
the way he justifies it to himself is that our son is not really his child!
