I have one 1945, one 1951 and tqo 1957 wheat pennies and I'm just curious about what they're worth, if anything.

I collect (for the hell of it) older pennies and came by these wheat pennies.

I know it's nothing big or great to big time/hard core collectors, but it keeps me busy.

So far I have pennies from the following years;

1979, 1978, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1973, 1972, 1971, 1970, 1969, 1968, 1967, 1966, 1965, 1964, 1963, 1962, 1961, 1960, 1959.

The cents you have ( pennies are used in England) are quite common. For an example they minted at the Philadelphia mint in 1945 1,040,515,000 cents. That does not include the cents minted in Denver and San Francisco that year. The 1975 mintage is 5,451,476,142 so you see none are scarce. All are needed if you are going to put a set together. Best to try for Lincoln Memorial set from 1959-2006. Looks easy but it is not, trying to find all dates and mint marks from change is a challenge. One more thing you can actually put a set of nickels together from change except for probably the 1950-D but finding one is possible. It took me over two years, but I put a nice set together from change, of Jefferson nickels 1938-2006. Good luck in what ever you do.

I, personally have several "wheat backs" myself. I even have a couple dating back as far as 1929. My father collects them and I take after my father in so many things. As I understand it the ones with NO mint mark are worth more and the 1944 or 45s are worth the most because of the war and the use of the cooper for ammo. That left a depletion of cooper so great that they made the pennies out of (I believe) nickel and cooper for either one or both of those years.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the only denomination who claim Jesus Christ took up heavenly kingship in 1914 - it was an invisible event. They "saw" with eyes of understanding. Furthermore, after taking up authority in heaven, Jesus Christ examined all the other religions on the planet and decided that only the Watchtower Society was fit to be his channel of communication. Apparently, this happened in 1919. Interestingly, they now say that although he took up his kingship in 1914, he has not got round to judging yet. This will be a future event. Previously, they claimed that the generation alive during 1914 would be the generation to see Armageddon. Now they've had "new light" and it turns out (after almost 100 years) that the generation Jesus talked about in Matthew 24 is a FUTURE generation! How come, if they're the only channel of communication being used by Jesus Christ, they got it so wrong for so long? Their entire religion is built on their beliefs about 1914. Every other Christian denomination knows that the second coming of Jesus Christ will be a world-shattering, cataclysmic event and that EVERY EYE WILL BEHOLD, and every knee will bend.

They would have to be a lot older to be worth anything. You might want to look at them for mint marks. Some of the mints are closed now. I would put them aside for the grandkids.
