My 'best friend' has slept with over 40 guys. We live in a college town. She plays games and I'm scared shes gonna end up with a serious std. People are starting to associate her actions with me. I've only had sex with 2 people and they were both serious relationships.
I've told her how disgusting I think it is but she doesnt care. I think she just likes the attention.
She blows off me and other friends just to go screw some guy she either met at Wal*Mart or on myspace
I don't wanna just say *%&! off cuz shes hada rough childhood but I'm sick of that excuse for everything.
What should I do?!?

Believe it or not, the rough childhood may be just the reason she's doing what she's doing. You can in a nice way during a time where you guys are just kicking it let her know that her behavior makes you uncomfortable-but that's about it. Her behavior is in no way reflective upon you. Just hold steady to your resolve when guys approach you and let them know birds of a feather DO NOT flock together. It's up to you to decide if you value her friendship enough to look past her shortcomings and reamin her friend in spite of her sexual behavior.

Why have you put "best friend" in inverted commas ? Either she is or she isnt. If she is you need to sit her down and talk about this as its not good behaviour.I suspect serious lack of self esteem is the root cause of this behaviour. Perhaps she needs professional help and also the support and understanding of her best friend

For all of her special occasions, christmas, birthdays, etc. Buy her condoms. you are not gonna convince this girl to stop her ways until she is ready. If you disagree with them then maybe that should be a topic that you do not discuss. Encourage her to practice safe sex and leave it at that. Eventually she will settle down.

Your friend has a low self esteem that is why she does it. Her childhood is also the reason she is doing guys. You have to let her be. Once one of those guys are perhaps all of them start spreading rumors about her slutty behavior she will stop. Especially if she is noted a Myspace whore... she will wake up really quick.

Promiscuity is a sign of sexual abuse as a child. Get your friend to an SLAA meeting. (It's a 12 step program like alcoholics anonymous) but it's for sex addicts.

Its good that you are conserned but unless she wants to stop you can't make her . If I was you I would just keep trying to get through to her and who knows, maybe things will work out

I don't think there's really anything you can do. She can do whatever she wants even if you don't approve. If you reallly want to be her friend, just be her friend ...even though she doesn't care you think it's disgusting.

what business is it of yours?
her moral are hers, not yours, she enjoys it, who are you to tell any one how many partners she can have.
how do you know she isnt using prtection?
your not part of her sex life but out and restrict your relationship to the non sexual part
no one appointed you the moral gardian for the universe
