Use a DVD ripper. Some DVD is protected, use these DVD ripper to rip the protected movies to your Hard Drive.

Copy and paste all the files to a folder on your hard drive. Watch it though, 1. its illegal unless you own the DVD and 2. it takes up a lot of space.

Go to my computer and when you see your DVD drive with the DVD in it, right click, and click "open". This will bring up all of the files on the DVD. You can then copy and paste whatever files you want on to the computer

As long as it is for legal use, I use DVD Fab, great program. It alows you to crate an image of the DVD into a selected folder, you retain all the quality , menus and extra fetures. Also just as easy to make copys, for legal use.. no being naughty.
