ok yestarday I went on a date when I was going out the door he said if your not here by 11:00 then don't even think abt going home I don't care even it is 2 mins after 11. I just walked off. I was having fun then he would call me saying Ryan where the hell are you and is 10:50 don't enter my house .I lost track of time so I went home. I had a key so I opened the door thinking he went to bed and he was ******* siting right infront of door holding ******* a belt. I just ran in really fast he came runing after me and I made it up to my room. I seriously don't know what the hell is wrong with him. This morning he woke me up at 5:00 saying lets go jocking or running or whatev you call it it was dark and really cool outside. He was like you have no choice. He said that he didn't wear a jacket am not allow to wear a jacket I almost died because I was so cool.
Do you think that there is something wrong with my dad?

It sounds like your dad may be an extremist, but he is trying to teach you a lesson. He wanted you in by a certain time for your own good and when you did not do as he wished, he found a way to punish you. Do you know how worried a parent can get when a child does not make it home on time? Now days there is so much violence all kinds of bad things can go through their minds. Then there is this great thing called a cell that obviously your father put to use. However, when you are then openly defiant about following his instructions, he is going to feel the need to enforce the rules. Just be glad he didn't ground you for life and go on.

There is something VERY wrong with your father.
You don't beat your son with a belt for being late, nor do you let him in the cold without a jacket, running, at 5:00 AM.
And don't listen to all those moronic parents trying to convince you that you were wrong, because we've ALL been out past our curfew. That was just unnecessary.

You are 13 years old little boy, you live in the home that your parents are paying for, they buy your food, they buy your clothing, they give you transportation you must live by their rules. Why a 13yr old boy is dating is beyond me and why you think your "cool" for having sex with some little hussy isn't even an enjoyable thought. The only person with an issue is you if you were my child and I don't believe in spanking, I'd have caught you and let you know who the boss was. You are out of control and if you make it to 18 without going to jail or juvenile detention it will be a miracle

Ryan you don't give a lot of specifics about your living arrangements. Whether your mother is around or how your dad is with siblings if you have any. As a parent I understand wanting your children to come home at a decent hour as we worry terribly about our kids and we know kids don't always make the best decisions because we were kids once. As for your dad getting you up early to go running, maybe he wants to try to instill discipline in you. Though the whole not letting you wear a jacket when it's cold out is NOT right. You may want to talk to an adult you trust to talk to your father. You don't say how old he is, but no matter he may be suffering from depression or something else. Please illicit an adult you trust (maybe the family doctor or a friends parent) to talk to and intervene with your dad for you. Good Luck~

my dad is sort of like that my parents started being parents to me 2 days ago they have to know where i am every ******* minute of the day i was late comeing home from a friends house my dad started yelling at me and got really angry
so no i dont think ur dad is right

Your dad might have something seriously wrong. Talk to your school psychologist. this is serious since it deals with your mental (and physical) being.

Maybe, if this happens a lot, like even when you aren't doing anything wrong, try to get emancipated (depending on how old you are). If you just screwed up big time, then maybe you deserved it.
Talk to some one you trust abou it-an adult.

your family is screwed up what do u guys do just sit and fight i mean seriously u just have to get over it
and then u smoke and have sex what the hell thats so stupid some kid in my school did that with some girl in the classroom and he went to juvenile hall for that

Dad's right. You have to learn to follow the rules. 11 oclock means 11 oclock, not even 2 minutes later.
I do think he should have allowed you a light jacket to go running.
You need to do what Dad says. Some day you'll understand it.
