Never is to much moisturizer... Don't worry you are only 27 and stay home so you are not exposed to the sun etc. just keep your skin free of make up and do the necesary to look pretty ofcourse...I am 36 and Nobody believes I am that age they say I look 26...My secret I don't worry I use the correct products I don't use make what so ever just in the places that I want to hide any dark spot for my skin to look even... I scrub every single day my face and moisturizer oil free and...I rest good...And one thing that will helpofcourse to have a happy free of stress etc bittere life ebcause how you feel inside you will reflect it in you face....So don't worry about looking old

i wouldn't wash my face with soap if i were you. invest a little more in your face and use a good facial cleanser. i pick mine based off of smell, because what else can you do besides smell it before you buy? other than read the bottle. also, choose the type of cleanser that matches your skin type. i have the classic T-zone where my forehead, nose and chin are oily. some of my favorites are Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub and Neurtogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub. Both have microbeads that gently exfoliate. these are what i use in the morning when i need something quick. But at night, i use the expensive stuff and to me its totally worth it. I use Shiseido cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. I figure its better to use it at night since that is when your body repairs itself and it lasts a little longer if you only use it once a day. but this is just extra credit. i get complimented on my skin pretty often and got carded by a waitress that thought i was 17. I'm 25. Hope this helps.

to answer your question, if its not causing you to break out or make your skin look shiny all day, you're probly ok on the moisturizer. i've applied lotion to my face three times more in the winter than i do in the summer sometimes. so it depends.

and i only tone at night because toner is designed to pick up any excess left over after cleansing, which usually happens if i wore makeup that day. toner is also extra credit. if you don't feel like you need it, don't use it because it can also cause your face to be too oily if you overuse it.

favorite moisturizer ever: Biore Shine Control Moisturizer. It's the little green bottle that comes in a box.

this is all based off of experience and what i learned in modeling school.

I am 50 and have gorgeous skin. I've had beautiful skin for most of my life and people have complimented me on it regularly.

It wasn't always the case. As a teenager I was extremely oily and often had cystic acne. Early on I had to commit to a good skin care routine.

What has worked for me for over 30 years is this maxim: cleanliness is next to Godliness. I once read that Mick Jagger's first wife Bianca NEVER, even after an evening of partying, went to bed without first cleansing her face. I wash my face (usually in the shower) EVERY morning and every night without fail. Yes, I use soap - for years I used Clinique Extra Strength Soap; now I use their gentle soap. If your finances allow it, Kanebo makes the finest soap on the market -- it's called Creamy Soap (sold at Saks). I use a buff puff and a good cleansing cream to get all my makeup off. Then I moisturize, using an OIL free moisture. My favorite is Nars Vitamin Serum.

You might also invest in a good cleansing mask. A once a month or every two weeks facial is a great idea.

Keep in mind that I am FIFTY now and have virtually no lines, pores or dryness.

Take a good multivitamin every day and fish oil.

You are doing the right thing by moisturizing. I would bet that the problem is with the soap you are using to wash. You need a good facial cleanser. Soap tends to be drying and the oil glands think that they need to produce more oil. I have used Mary Kay for 4 years and my face is doing 100% better than before I used it. Like you I have combination skin. Mary Kay has a cleanser and moisturizer that work together to meet your needs and keep you looking young and vibrant. The cleanser also gently exfoliates and tones your skin in one simple step. Good Luck.

You should not use soap, it dries your skin out. And make sure your moisturizer isn't mineral oil based. Mineral oil microbes are too big to soak into the pores, they just sit on your skin and make it feel moist for a bit.

I would recommend you buy a good system with cleanser, mask (weekly), toner, eye cream, and moisturizer. Do the routine morning and night. Other than the mask. Also....drink lotsa WATER!

I use Arbonne's "Intelligence" 5 step skin care regime. I love it and so does my daughter. She switched from proactive to Arbonne and her face isn't all itchy and dried out now and her skin's actually clearer with no salycilic acid!

I have a sample pack that I could send you if you want to try before you buy.
Just e-mail me.
