ya know how white people (not me) will some times call black people bad names and sometimes say "Oh they can't do that.." And the only good reason is that they are black. And then some black people will (not all) whine about it. And they will say its all the salvery or the civil war fault and they can't do things so they need Black colleges, black history month etc. ( first the civil war is way over due and you nor your parents were ever in salavery! Second Can you image if we had a "White history month"?) any way what I want to know is why don't blacks get up of thier butts stop whineing and just simply make a good name for them selfs? ( and yes i know I need to work on my spelling)

Please note I am not aganist black people (or any other kind of race) at all.I never have been.

I'm so sorry the majority of you are taking me the wrong way. Im sorry how i sounded I didnt mean for it to go this way. I didnt say there wern't really nice and "produtive" black people. Because there are and I am honnored in having the pleasure of knowing some of them. I'm just questioning why do we(amercans) always focus on the bad/ negative in stead of making a good name for each other?
I'm sorry if i offended any one here. P.S I am smart! I just have a hard time with spelling.

I hear you..........Just look at how the Military supports every nationality with something EXCEPT the "whites".

Anymore, the middle class white man has become the one who gets "discriminated" against.

"Hey African Americans..?"

Hey what ever race you are!

"ya know how white people (not me) will some times call black people bad names and sometimes say "Oh they can't do that.." And the only good reason is that they are black. And then some black people will (not all) whine about it."

Uh-huh

"And they will say its all the salvery or the civil war fault and they can't do things so they need Black colleges, black history month etc."

Salvery? Do you mean slavery? Black colleges allow whites to go there too, any race can go. Black history month, yeah the smallest month in the year.

( first the civil war is way over due and you nor your parents were ever in salavery!

Oh wow, how long did it take you to figure that one out?

Second Can you image if we had a "White history month"?)

I can 11 months a year.

"any way what I want to know is why don't blacks get up of thier butts stop whineing and just simply make a good name for them selfs? ( and yes i know I need to work on my spelling)"

We have, you are still in the "Blacks hate me cause I am white" mode. AND FAIL HORRIBLY TO SEE THAT SOME BLACKS HAVE ACTUALLY MADE IT! Oh and spellcheck should be your bestfriend.

"Please note I am not aganist black people (or any other kind of race) at all.I never have been."

You are just generalizing a whole race of people. You probably believe in stereotypes too.

I wonder if so-called "poor white trash" complains that his or her lot in life is the fault of someone else. The poor-minded are everywhere. I just wonder if the world is sick of poor-minded blacks because they won't shut the hell up. If they were lazy and quiet, would anyone pay attention to them then?

Blacks who are educated professionals who have made a good name for themselves are usually lumped together with the lazy blacks who complain that no one is doing anything for them. So, no matter how much many blacks accomplish, they will always be brought down by the ignorant ones.

I don't hold all whites responsible for so-called "poor white trash" and all blacks should not be responsible for black "trash". Therefore, I guess you won't get a good answer to your question from the ones in which your refer. What are they going to say, "I am lazy and listen to gangster rap all day with my 5 kids but since you said something, I will go out and make something of myself..." - not going to happen.

There are good people in all the world. Black's included, In dealing with Army recruits and other training sites throughtout the Army, I have seldom ever had problems with any Black Soldiers and certainly no more with them than any other race of people. Lets drop segration and remember that every person is a human being and should be treated as such. God bless each and everyone and I wish all of you a merry Christmas and a happy newyear.

Some people (since we are discussing African Americans those are the people I am referring to) feel very comfortable making excuses for their inaction (not inability, mind-you) because they are still under the impression of "you owe me" and "we were treated wrong". This is called the slave mentality. Though it had nothing to do with the generation of today directly, there is still mental supression because of the lack of forgiveness for what was done to African Americans several hundred years ago. Now, let me say this as well. There are crack heads with the same mentality-I was abandoned as a child, had no where to go, so I chose crack and prostitution. People who whine about what was done to them or their ancestors are simply using those excuses as a means to justify their inaction. You discuss the issue of African Americans "making a name for themselves". There are millions of African Americans who are alive now and many who were alive several years ago who have "made names for themselves". Just because you have not heard of them does not mean there aren't any. I would suggest you pick up an African American history book at your local library or bookstore in order to familiarize yourself with those "names".

In a disparate social system founded upon lies, treachery, and the Art of War the best any race of people can do until revolution is work within that system to their advantage. Has white america benefited from the backs of slaves? What is the dominant culture? Whose standards are we obliged to follow? I see the insanity, how about you! Don't know and don't want it!

OK, If you understand the history of the US, you would see that it is terribly harder for an african american to get ahead becasue of the years in slavery and the years following. See white people dont really stand out because of their color, while blacks are collectively considered to be certain way because they are dark...If you read between the lines in the history books you will see that blacks came from kidnapping and slavery to become heads of churches, social organizations, doctors, lawyers, orators, all while still being burdened by their skin color. I think that amounts for something...dont you? Equality is still being sought...even though we near 2007, please try to remember that so people dont take your questions or assumptions as ignorant!

I am white and ashamed of you. If you are not against anyone why come out with something like this. If you keep up the divides they will always be there. You are playing an old tune about Black this and that. Stop it or shut up.

I think blacks are much more becoming part of mainstream America which is good for all of us. Any person who is smart and can work with others and present themselves well can do well in this country.
