Yes, there is - I've got one. You write with the pen on any suitable surface and provided that the pen is linked to the computer and within cooee of its range you generate a document that can be used in a whole variety of ways.

I bought mine from a UK-based catalogue called Dream(s) Direct, or some similar name; they've now changed the name of their catalogue and I think it's called Boogaloo, but on my desktop the device is identified as PC Notes Taker, so one or other of those search terms ought to help. It's pretty impressive.
