Own Sony Vaio N130, purchased Motorola Modem myself instead of ordering it through Comcast, How can I activate my Internet service when they need MAC address of the cable modem.

Call Comcast and give them the MAC address of the cable modem. It's printed on the back or bottom.

are you able to call somebody without signing up with a telephone corporation? are you able to get electrical energy without an electic corporation? No you could not. you're able to sign up with a cable information superhighway provider provider.

Call comcast tell them your situation, they will guide you to exactly what you need to do.
