I just find it so rude and hard to respond to people without either sounding pretentious or weird!

ive been in this situation before and i usually just say i dont know it was a gift, or i got it on sale and i cant remember....sometimes u have to tell a little white lie for the greater good of things, because truthfully that's a rude question and people should not ask it...good luck!

don't share that kind of info with them, they are jelous of you, and if u tell them u have anything they may try to bum your money. just tell them u don't know how much something cost.

it is none of their business (unless THEY are paying for it of course)
you could state that or just say that you 'cant remember' how much it cost
