Since the question is in present tense - let's work with present day point guards.

Allen Iverson

I would have said Steve Nash objectively but look at this breakdown and tell me who you think it is.

It's not like AI is a ball hog with 7+ assists a game and the steals differential is too big to ignore now. This may be his best year statistically (if it wasn't for his trade demand and expected exit from Philly).

Jason Kidd of course. Chris Paul is really good but still needs more experience because he still has some inconsistency sometimes. Plus no other point guard can rebound as well as Kidd, his court vision is second to none, and can defend as well as anyone. He contributes to every aspect of the game whenever he is on the floor; defense, offense, nd everything in between. That's why he's one of the best of all time

Steve Nash. As ! said before there is no way to stop this guy from burning you. Look at the last 2 games he's played as an example. In the 1st they decided to cover Nash, guess what he got 20 assists. In the next 1 the team had a different strategy or as i say a different way to be burned. They decided to issolate him so he couldn't do what he does best pass. Guess what he STILL got assists AND 41 points to boot.

It's got to be either Nash, two time MVP, even though he's got allot of talent around him, or J Kidd. Chris Paul is looking like he's the next great point guard. But as of now, all things considered, Nash.

Nash/Kidd/Chris Paul/Heinrich

in that order

I think that Jameer Nelson is doing a good job man. And who are these people that said Shaq and Yao? Do they even know the game?

Steve Nash. I have to mention J. Kidd because of his Triple-Double ability.
