what's the viewing range of a shuttle night launch?

Hi. I live in New England and this launch will be up the coast. I've seen it twice during launch (engine flames). Neat!

A few years ago I saw the landing of the shuttle and I live in Texas.

The higher it gets the farther it can be seen. You can see it from Maine to Chicago and south to West Texas.
