The early Greeks thought the brain was the home of your soul, rather than your intellect. There was another human organ that they believed housed our THOUGHTS "wink"...what organ was it?

The liver-however, many did not even think the brain housed the soul, but that the heart did- the prevailing opinion among the medical community, such as it was, was the the brain functioned to cool the blood

it is usually taught as the heart and thorax.

but really there were two camps: the cardiocentrists and the cognitists - who believed that the nervous system must play some role. (that split started in about 300 bc)
