I am applying to Rice University and I was wondering if the acceptance rate of people applying Interim Decision vs. Regular Decision. I know Interim is higher but I want to improve my test scores first, so if I did that, I would have to apply Regular. Please help me.

Ok...first if you don't get into Rice don't kill yourself. There are a lot of good schools out there like the University of Houston. Don't buy into the whole great school stuff...college is what you get out of it. A lot of people get wired that they have to be in the most prestigious schools in order to get the best jobs. Not true. Its good to be an overachiever, but remember balance is the key in all aspect in life.

Depends on how your test scores are, if you think they will greatly improve, then wait for regular decision but if you only anticipate minor improvement then early decision will help boost your chances. It all comes down to what your scores actually are, its hard to tell without knowing.
