Is there any way to make a sidekick or even a chocolate work with a cingular sim?

If you got the sidekick unlocked, it would be the only way it would work with your cingular sim card. Also with using an unlocked phone there is no way to guarantee that you won't experience any decrease in reception. Also you probably wont be able to download ringtones, graphic, etc. from the cingular website, and you message indication may not work as well. A Chocolate will not work on cingular period, the chocolate is a CDMA phone, and cingular uses GSM, also the chocolate is a verizon exclusive so most likely you will probably never see cingular carry it.

save your money: sidekick is too fragile for it's own good. drop it once and it breaks. unlike most mobile phones that can be dropped without appreciable damage.
Chocolate should be availabe from Cingular.
