No, you're just getting older and sick of them losing. It is like being a Cubs fan. Fan is short for fanatic and there are many.

You had me at Lions fan and ready to root for someone else. A real fan would stick with it no matter what. But this is the Lions we're talking about! I suggest instead of pro football, concentrate on college football or other pro leagues. The Tigers had a good season and Red Wings has a history of winning, so switch over to other sports for right now, but come back eventually. No team can go THAT long. Unless your a Cubs because if ya are...yikes.

I am and always will be a Detroit Lions fan. A real fan sticks with their teams through the down times. Otherwise they are not entitled to celebrate their teams triumphs. There will be a time in the future when the Lions will be competitive. And when they are....look out. Detroit is a football city and will always be one. If you thought the super bowl and the world series were a spectacle in Detroit, just wait till the lions are good. There wouldn't be a crazier place to be on sundays.

If you change teams and the Lions start doing well will you switch again? The answer to your question is yes, if you change your team this late in the game, you're a sellout. It's sucks to lose but that's what makes a faithful fan. I live in Phoenix AZ so I see desperate fans all the time. They won't be bad forever so stick it out. Once Millen is gone, you'll have a chance.

Yes, you will be called a jumper, someone who jumps from a team when they are down and then will probably jump again when the next team starts to suck. I have been a Cowboys fan, in the bad and the good times. You have to stick with your team. Just look at the Browns fans, I think they have it the worst out of all the teams. They always suck, but their fans never leave.

Yes, you can root for the ford family to sell!
We need to band together with all the newspapers and tv stations
and start a year long grass root organization to get rid of the cancerous ownership!

It doesn't matter who you cheer for as long as you enjoy the game. I like Cleveland but can't remember the last time they had a winning season.
The game should be fun if your not happy with a team find one that makes you feel good to cheer for & have a good year - luck!

Why show loyalty to a team who won't show loyalty to their fans and try to field a competitive team? Now personally for me I can't just go and switch teams. It just doesn't feel right, I was a Bengals fan all through the dark ages.

that team needs to get rid of Millen. simple as that.

they constantly change coaches, schemes, and players so often that they are always in a rebuilding phase

sad as it may be, getting a new team might be a good idea.. or at least adopting a new team until detroit gets their act together

ive been a saints fan for over 30 years. now we are people who have reason to change teams. the best they have done......1 playoff win in the history of the team. (sigh)
I dont see them in the superbowl this year but i do think next year, if they strengthen the D, is the year for them to be superbowl contenders.
