iMac is the newer version of the eMac.

Emac was a huge, white not very good desktop that has mostly gone to the Dumpsters of the world. The screens on all of them were burnt and faded to uselessness after just a few years and the CDs and hard drives were unmaintainable and economically unreplaceable.

eMac is the older model of the mac. the iMac costs more, but it comes with a built in camera/photo editing program and is faster.
