me n my mate were having a discussion n he decided to go n compare band of brothers to lost. I told him they're two totally different genres, but he persists to go on about how lost is about beasts roaming about in the jungle, whereas BoB is jus like the best ting eva made on TV.

So we thought we'd settle it by posting the question on here.
I realise that BoB is a docu-drama n lost is an out n out entertainer, but if u had to choose one as the more interesting of the two, wich wud it be n WHY?

In other words, if u had to watch one of these dramas again n again, or it was the last ever TV drama u got to watch, wich wud u choose.

Please speak truth fully....no need to be all noble n politically correct ; - ]

i'm a filipino but i do agree that koreans produce better dramas. Even there are no kissing scenes, korean dramas are surprisingly good and romantic while Teleseryes have the same plot and casts over and over (and i don't feel the chemistry between both leads. The trailer and commercials about a certain series explains everything and i don't understand why they have to show that. There's no point of watching it anymore! The suspense isn't there... It's like their main goal isn't to produce a good film but the longest (the longest is the most successful: that's their motto I guess) Sure Philippines have great actors/actresses but isn't it the plot that moves the story? And the story is soooooo sooooo sooooo PREDICTABLE (in the end, the villain becomes a psycho or a kidnapping event will occur) (One of the leads will be forced to be with another person because of a threat etc.). Oh and i also hate how business meetings are portrayed in teleseryes. All they talk about are "stocks" "ratings" "shares" "shareholders" "business partners" etc. It's like the directors know nothing about the field (even medical procedures! They do it wrong) Watch Pinocchio and I hear your Voice (korean drama) and see how realistic their portrayal of jobs are. What can you compare to "My Love from the star"? Forevermore? LOL! It's not even good i don't understand why it's overrated. Maybe because we have nothing to watch other than that? Psh. Sorry for the rant but I have to state the truth. Just an opinion! :)

I am totally hooked on Lost. It's getting to the point now that it is just so bizarre through, that I don't want to watch it anymore. It also has wayyy too many commercials. It drives me nuts. They also always say how "more answers will be given in this next episode" but more questions always arise. By the time they actually answer a question from a past episode, it's not even like "wow, that's why that happened" its like "what does that mean? Is there any significance here?" I have never seen Band of Brothers, never even heard of it.

It has to be Band of Brothers as it's based on a true story, lost maybe good however but if you listen carefully to the Simpsonsm Homer came up with the idea about 2 years maybe 3 years ago, not that interested in lost but my mate is really hooked.

Band of Brothers is far far better. I have the DVD collection of the series plus the book, which I have read twice. Lost is good, but its escapism, Band of Brothers was as real as they could make it.
BoB is only just a docudrama, and that's only because of the narrative at the start of each episode, but the narrative is important to emphasise the realistic nature of the story.

I agree with you. They are both in different criterias.

But If I had to pick, I'd go with Band of Brothers in many ways. It's real, it's intense, it offers ones of the best charactors ever and that you can tell the show is well put.

I'm a girl and I love this war series. You have to give them that credit.

Both are very good but I missed Lost and consequently its hard to get back in the series, I never really watched Band of Brothers but I have always like Dead Zone though.

Both have got some really hot guys in them. Well Lost has only really got Jack and Sawyer - and i'm not digging jack's sweaty look. Band of Brothers has a plethora of men, but i can't stand the violence - so it has to be Lost.
