I've heard that Wikipedia is licensed under Creative Commons. Does that mean I can use their content on my site without a contract?

Wikipedia is not under the Creative Commons. It's under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). However, that is a free license, so as long as you adhere to the terms of that license, which includes attributing the original authors and keeping the work under the same license, you are welcome to use it however you like. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyrights for more information on using Wikipedia content.

i wouldn't use wikapedia if i were you. wikapedia is a site that anyone can add to the information. the site isn't very legit at all. if you need a site like wikapedia find somthing else. for dictionary references, etc... try- encarta.com -
thats what i use and its better than wikapedia.
(just a warning)
