i have a problem with physics and plzzz help by reading my question. tell me how to find out and which formula do i have to use.
Take the general case of an object of mass (ma) and velocity(va) elastically striking a stationary(vb=0) object of mass (mb) head-on.
a). show that the final velocity (va') and (vb') are given by : va'=(ma-mb/ma+mb)va
vb'=(2ma/ma+mb)va.
b). what happens in the exrem case when (ma) is much smaller than (mb)? Cite a common example of this.
c). what happens in the exreme case when (ma) is much larger than (mb)? Cite a common example of this.
d). what happens in the case when (ma=mb)? Cite a common example.
