I'll be leaving for Italy in January, but the place I'll be staying at isn't up to date with technology so I won't have any internet access unless I go to an internet cafe. Is there any way to get online like using wireless cards off a satellite connection. Any ideas? Thanks

Not really. You can get a wireless card through one of the cell phone companies that will get you on the internet, but it's a bit on the pricey side. Charges are based on the volume of data and can add up quickly.

There is currently no mobile satellite internet system that you can just slip into a laptop PC Card slot.

Your other option is dial-up service. That can get expensive since phone calls are all billed by the minute in Europe. That's one of the reasons that internet cafes are so popular -- and why free wireless internet access is almost unheard of in Europe.

Yeah, its certainly no longer unlawful... you're in basic terms connecting to their instant community, you should be gaming or document sharing between you or many, many different issues.. that's what instant is all approximately! Sharing internet get admission to with yet another kinfolk could be against the neighbour's settlement, yet it relatively is the neighbour's call and albeit I very lots doubt it relatively is against the settlement. you need to apply a instant get admission to factor / selection Extender (approximately £35 from pc worldwide) between their router and your pc someplace to hold the sign extra suitable between you. I used to proportion a house and we had yet another adapter on the 2d floor of a three storey homestead to spice up it as much as the right floor extra suitable. that's going to might desire to be plugged in once you employ it, so might no longer be suitable.
