Not in most cases, in about half. Production of cars usually starts in late July to early August for the next years car models. Production continues until June of the model year and then the factories shut down to do any work needed to start production of the next model year vehicles. There are exceptions to this rule, but this is how it's usually done. I worked in a frame manufacturing factory for 33 years and we did our model change over in late June so new frames would be at the car building plants in time for the July-August start of new car production.

Most vehicles will have the mfg. date listed on the label on the side of the door (on the "frame" of the door where the latch mechanism is). Check that and you should be able to find the mfg date as well as other information.

The production date should be somewhere in the VIN number, find out how to decipher it.
