How long did you go to school and does it pay well

To be able to carry the title of psychologist, you need to have your PhD, which takes about 5-6 years. Psychiatrists go to medical school so they can perscribe drugs. I am unfamiliar with how long it takes to get that type of degree.

Pay varies wildly. Psychiatrists seem to be the stereotypical money-makers, but I can't give you any real figures.

I'm neither, but I know that it will take you about eight years of higher education, with four of those years in undergraduate studies. Psychiatrists, who are medical doctors, then go on to a four-year residency.
