4Kids stopped dubbing Pokemon at the last season. Another company picked it up and replaced all the actors with "sound-alikes" because the original actors for Ash (Veronica Taylor), Misty (Rachel Lillis) and Brock (Eric Stuart) are all very high-profile actors and cost a lot of money, and the new company can't afford it.

I did notice that myself. They all changed their voice except Max and Brock. They sound like crap now. I guess the voice actors were having sore throats or something else.

4Kids stopped producing (dubbing?) it and so PokemonUSA took over. With that, they found it cheaper to hire new actors.
