I have a Windows Media Player.

First you need a CD-ROM drive which can play DVD's. Many will have a DVD logo embosed on the tray.

Second you need software to play the DVD like windows media player or what ever software was bundled with your player.

is your drive a dvd player? If so you do need some software to even play the movies...

I use WinDVD...Can't stand Windows Media Player...make sure your computer has a DVD-ROM.

place the dvd in the dvd slot

all you have to do is go to play menu, and click on dvd.
