I think you can get toys either on loan or at a low fee at a regional center in your state. I am in PA and we have an eastern support center that supports school districts and preschool and early intervention programs and parents. they have assistive technology toys and products available in a loaner library of sorts.

There is another agency or group called lekotek----I am just not sure I spelled that correctly. But I think it is people who adapt toys so that they can be used or more accessible for children with disabilities. I think their services are relatively affordable as well.

yes---try lekotek.org

Also in PA children with an IEP---Individualized Education Plan can be evaluated by an assistive technology team to see what their needs are for learning or play that is more technological----this can be built into their educational program-----that is if traditional toys or learning approaches would not work and technology would better serve the needs of the child. This would be funded by your school district----yet funding may vary a bit by state or school district within your state-------but nonetheless some system for managing this should be available---

You can also contact your local ARC ---and see if an advocate might help you find the resources you are seeking---

Look at your state's dept of health services. Many states have special grant programs, but it varies from state to state. I know in my state (Ok) there are several programs, as well as the ability to borrow equipment from the states' school for the deaf/blind.

As well, if your child is in school and you feel it's necessary for educational purposes, you can get the school to provide on an IEP service, and then claim that the item is needed at home as well as school to meet the goals of cross-situational attainment.

I would certainly think there should be, but I don't have the answer. In your position, I would contact an association for the blind or deaf and ask that question. If anyone knows, they do.

I was once speakme in this detailed subject with my pal on Friday. The vhild is accountable in part (chiefly of an age in which he is aware of correct from fallacious) However I believe it's most of the time the father and mother fault, like your mom mentioned, their might be a few lack in parenting. I believe that their are three varieties of father and mother:- many father and mother are strict, and inform their kids to take action and so, with out giving them a intent, and whilst the baby involves an age of considering for himself he rebels. even as different father and mother permit the baby do as he wants, till the age of puberty. then throw upon them the life of Islam, praying five instances, dressing modestly. Why will have to i do that ?-the baby questions, why trouble finally i havn't performed all of it my lifestyles. its too rough..they *****. It is the fault of the father and mother. T the first-rate father and mother are folks who discover a center approach to coach their kids. from the second their born encompass them with Islam, provide a intent for the whole lot- now not simply 'islam says thats why'. Islam is not as rough as we make it out, theres a logical rand legitimate eason for the whole lot. But whilst the baby is of an age that he can suppose himself it does end up his accountability to do correct. and if a baby, although his father and mother raised him up effectively he is going in opposition to their teachings, the baby is accountable. May Allah provide you good fortune too. and might he provide us well information, and make us well father and mother whilst the time comes.
