Teaching is a rewarding job if you can put up with the crap that the young people put out there. To many shootings going on in the schools too. Sports is where it's at, they make the money there and have fun playing their favorite sport. Research and pray about your future and you will be O.K.. I will pray for you as I send this out. Good Luck and have a Wonderful Christmas and Peace Filled New Year.

Out of all the professionals that get jobs easily straight out of college with a four year degree, teachers start out fairly badly paid. As the other professions accumulate experience and their salaries start going up pretty high, teachers get about a $500 raise per year. If that's good money to you, and you like working with kids that often have attitudes and parents with attitudes that are even worse, than this is the job for you.
Sorry if that sounds bad, but that's the reality of life as a public school teacher.

You can now make a fairly good living as a public school teacher (depending on which state you live in), and even more teaching in private schools or in a university/college/vocational school.
But you aren't going to make large amounts of cash unless you luck into one of the few high paying private schools or university jobs.

Basic school teachers usually do not make good money. College teachers make a little bit better.
