how to fix amp meter to my car what would be the wiring?

i want to fix amp meter to check battery power and charging rate so how do i fix one to know how is the alternator working because i have no gadget in my dashboard to show the charging rate of alternator.let me know about how to wire it.

MUCH simpler to install a VOLT meter rather than an AMP meter.
You can get the same basic information, just in a different form.
Volt meter is much simpler to install and connect.
Voltage charge rate is clear.
Anything < than 13.5 V is PROBABLY not going to sustain the system very well.
Anything > 15 V is overcharging, and will cause damage to the battery and over time, the electrical system.
