Being happy has nothing to do with me. Once I take the focus off of me and think about the happiness and joy of other people, I become happier.

Life is meant to be lived. You don't want to arrive at the end of your life in pristine condition. You want to come roaring in, sliding sideways with this big grin saying "Whoa! What a ride!"
Life is a one way trip with no off ramps. You get on and you go from one end to the other. How you get there is up to you. You can meekly go about living your life or you can LIVE your life to the fullest. Remember that we all have a death sentence and nobody knows when it will be carried out. Don't make your last day, your last moment something as sad as sitting around complaining about being bored. Get up, do something. Learn something new, help a person in need, jump out of an airplane, anything at all except sit still and be bored.
I'm a 50 year old male.

I have learn't that people do not learn the easy way (in general there are exceptions of course ), it usually takes a painful event in their lives to get the point across,I have supplied much good information to many folk over the years only to see it ignored, with sometimes serious consequences
People will do what they want to do , regardless, this is a human failing I think ....

Each friend serves a different purpose in your life.
Friends will come and go but the true ones always find their way back, even if you drift for a little while.
You will grow into yourself - not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
At times, the world and people can be cruel.
A smile can make all the difference.

I learned that trauma and abuse in childhood often leads to serious mental health issues, alcoholism, and drug addiction as an adult, and is often a contributor towards people ultimately sent to jail.

dont talk or say anything if your girlfriend is pissed off and yelling at you, if you do , then it makes matter worse, just sit there and listen and nod, keep talking to a minimal. shell cool down later and everything will be ok.
it isnt a big lesson but its worth learning.
