It probably would depend on the genre and my mood at the time but her go a few in no particular order:
Beethoven's 9th symphony 4th movement
Rhapsody in Blue, Gershwin
Oh Happy Day, Edwin Hawkins Singers
Jumping Jack Flash, Rolling Stones
My Way, Frank Sinatra
Sing Sing Sing
Rusty Cage, Johnny Cash
Stairway to Heaven, Led Zeppelin
Walkin After Midnight, Patty Page
Why? I not sure I can answer other than to say each one of these pieces of music touches my soul in some way.

My all time favorite song is Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin. My dad use to play that song when I was little... It was the only thing that would make me go to sleep at night. I still love listening to this song...

sorry.. but i have 4 lol. all by Led Zeppelin, the greatest band of all time. Stairway to Heaven, because it is a classic and contains the best guitar solo of all time. Achilles Last Stand because of the powerful druming, galloping bass lines, and cool solo. Since I've Been Loving You because of the bluesy, yet rock-ish sound and cool solo. Babe I'm Gonna Leave you because it has a lot of emotion fused into it and has a good acoustic guitar part. ROCK ON!

Cruising Together- By: Gwyneth Paltrow & Huey Lewis
The reason this is my favorite song is because it expresses me and my fiance prefectly. Its exactly us. We love to ride around just for the heck of it, even though gas is so expensive these days. Also we love jamming our music while riding together.

So Far Away by Staind. I love this song because of its moving lyrics, the emotion involved in the song, and how it relaxs me.

La Mer by Nine Inch Nails
It is mellow and hypnotizing and dark and reminds me of heady days in New OIrleans
