Maybe that's all that they can afford! Atleast they are in the Christmas Spirit and put up decorations! Just because you may think they are tacky, doesnt mean that they think so. Not everyone can afford the most expensive decorations.

We are a family of artists, designers and stylists and we love tacky. In my mind I have a graceful stairway with thousands of dollars worth of Poinsettias, real holly and ivy, fir pine garlands, but that's just in my mind. $ is always a problem. We drag out all the goofy decorations we've had for years, tacky as heck, but loveable like old teddy bears. We save pine trees by creating a weed tree sprayed gold, covered with all kinds of sea shells, ribbons, and tiny ornaments from the Dollar Store. Our visitors always marvel at how we've made tacky, beautiful. Be nice.

Because they are trying to have a good Christmas Spirit by having decorations up, but they are also trying to save money on gifts and food.

Because they spend their money on their loved ones for those expensive gifts and don't have money to buy the expensive decorations but still want to show they are in the season.

lol. it's true. i've seen some horibble decorations out there. but don't be so mean. remember, these people are at least trying to show they're into the christmas spirit. so if it's really tacky and bad...then try to ignore it.
that's what i do.

Well, taste is rather difficult to tighten up. I think you meant lose. However, just get over it. People have loads of stuff in their yards year round. Some of it I like––some of it I don't. However, since it's not my house or yard I just ignore it.

some people are just a little lazy to put up the real nice ones... unlike myself... my house looks like the griswalds. from national lampoons christmas vacation lol.. its all fun for the kids..

Cheap and tacky is part of the season too. Sometimes they aren't the prettiest, but they are the funnest.
