X amount of years ago you and your wife were a certain way . . . and now, here today, the thought in your mind is " How can I MAKE my wife . . . she USES my hard earned money . . . I may as well buy my own CRAP and . . . This is a common scenerio that is sad and unnecessary of how the break down of communication and attentiveness occurs between a couple to the point that expressed thoughts as yours stated here come about. I'm speaking from experience. Anyway . . . in answer to your question . . . communicate clearly and respectfully to your wife that you are asking her not to buy you any gifts and state a clear, non harsh, reason. If she ignores your wishes, then that is her not respecting your clearly stated wishes. And, that is on her heart. If she really wants to buy you a gift, then maybe explain to her that all gifts are'nt bought in a store and instead express to her some ideas of a subscription, dinner at a favorite restaurant, passes to a movie etc. If she still does not listen to you . . . then, again, that is poor communication and respect between a couple and when that happens . . . expressions on a site as this comes out. Poor communication is a common yet unnecessary occurance. Concern about countries at war... what about the tiny wars happening within couple relationships. Sad. I wish you success with this one. I'll just leave you with this phrase . . . Respectful, attentive, valuing COMMUNICATION.

That is a pretty sh!tty way of looking at it!!! If you two are struggling right now...then tell her that you guys can't afford to trade gifts this year. If your just being callous...then you're seeing things one-sided.
Is she your partner? Does she take care of the household duties? Does she cook and shop and clean? When was the last time you cleaned a toilet? If you are both doing your share to make the household run...then the money is not all yours just the same as the success of the home is not all hers.
Breathe deep and relax and be thankful you have a wife who would find it nice to buy you a gift....gosh maybe she loves you.

nicely first of all if she is a stay at abode mom then she has no way of offering any earnings so confident she ought to have the flexibility to purchase you some christmas promises with money you have earned because of the fact she slaves to maintain the two one among your abode sparkling looks after the childern and makes particular the expenditures are paid on time. She does alot of artwork that maximum folk take with no attention and you shouldnt make her sense as though she isn't worth or doesnt do adequate to have the flexibility to purchase some presents!!

First off, I have to preface this with saying that you are a total tool, and you are completely missing the point of the act of giving. Secondly, the day you got married is the day it stopped being "your" money and it started to become "both of yours" money. Third, you're a tool.
Now for the technical answer, cancel all her checks and debit cards and move all "your" money into your own account, only accessible by you, and cancel all her credit cards. Then wait until all hell breaks loose. Good luck with that one.

Take away her credit cards, Scrooge. You will only have to do this once, because next year she will be buying someone else a Christmas present, and probably still be using your money.

Tell her that you don't want any presents. Or go shopping together. That way you get something you like.

I seem to have found Mr. Scrooge!
Keep acting like him and you will soon be alone and not just for the holidays.
Cheer up....LIFE IS TOO SHORT!
