What does beer taste like? Is it gross?

It tastes like carbonated @ss! But seriously,yeah it may taste pretty gross the first time you taste it b/c you need to acquire a taste for it. Don't start out with dark beers,stick to lighter ones and move on from there. Eventually you'll figure out what you like by sampling different kinds.

All beer is different, you have the percentage of hops that make the difference in taste and it is acquired, like the previous user stated. I personally drink imported from Holland, it's very smooth and doesn't have an aftertaste.

Try a Chimay Belgium Ale , its like Mothers Milk and is considered to be the best beer in the world. Even Monks make it and drink it so it must be good!

All beers have their own distinct flavor. There are many diffrent kinds of beers so you cannot group them all into one taste. There is lights, ambers, darks, etc.... Personally I like to drink beer and I tend to stay with Bud Light or Coors Light.

Beer tastes nasty especially Heinica or whatever it is. It tastes sours and it goes flat if you leave it out.

Beer is like nectar of the gods! Admittedly, it's an acquired taste but once you're hooked, you're hooked forever. There are so many different kinds of beer that you're bound to like one of them. Start with the lights and work your way to the darker varieties if you are a beginner (and you're 21 or older!).
