Well, I hear I can't sleep with them in, unless they're ones that are made so you can, but what else can't I do while wearing them? I just got them yesterday, and my eye doctor didn't mention anything else.

don't swim with them in either. It is my professional opinion( I am an optometric assistant) don't sleep in them even if they are extended wear. You should also have a pair of glasses as a back up in case you lose a contact or have an eye infection.
You should be ok doing everything else.
If you play sports it might be a good idea to get some safety goggles in case you get a finger in your eye and your contact gets contaminated.

Take some good advice...NEVER sleep in them no matter what's advertised...I've been an Ophthalmologist for over 40 years and have seen some horrendous corneas from this. Also never rinse them in well water...amoebic infections almost impossible to treat and leading to loss of the eye. Swimming isn't dangerous...you'll only lose a lot of them. Try not to wear them more than 14-16 hours a day to avoid later problems. Rinse off cleaning/disinfectant soaking solutions with sterile saline.

What ever you do, do NOT have a sunbed session in them as I found out to my expense a few months back. I took them out after I got back home like I usually do, the next morning my right eye was bright red/bloodshot. I think the UVA rays would have melted the lens if I had had a longer session!! It went down within a coule of days.

The eye ball looses its contact with air while you use the contact lenses. So try to use it only when it is required. Wearing it unnecessarily effects the aeration of eye ball and effects its healthiness.

You can do just about anything in them. I don't suggest wearing them to water parks I always have a fear of them getting lost on a water slide.

do not handle spicy foods and then try to take them out any time soon. Jalepenos, chiles, onions, etc. will hurt even if yo do wash your hands. These items have oils that are not washed off with one washing
