I am having the most horrible ovulation pains, I have never had them like this before. It feels like there is a lot of pressure on my lower right part of my abdomen. There is slight cramping but it is very uncomfortable and the pressure feeling is making me queasy and sick feeling. I can't even eat because I am so nauseated from the discomfort. Are ovulation pains supposed to feel like this.

It could be normal ovulation pains however you need to be checked out if you start to have fever or vomiting. It could be an ectopic pregnancy or even appendicitis. Keep a close watch on your pain and temp and consult a dr. if it worsens.

You may can try sitting with a heating pad or drinking something hot (coffee/hot chocolate) to ease the pain. I always drink hot liquids when I am cramping and the hot soothes it a little.

Hope you feel better!

I had that problem this past summer and it turned out to be an ovarian cyst. Most of the time an ovarian cyst is not serious but sometimes they could be serious. Either way, you need to find out why you're having these pains. You know your body better than anyone. If it feels completely different than what you're used to, there could be something else going on. Better safe than sorry! The cyst feels even worse if it ruptures. Trust me, I know.

If there is the slightest chance that you could be pregnant you should see a doctor immediately because you could be experiencing an ectopic pregnancy.
