Doubtful! Maybe people that believe they are witches but that is about it. Many, many years ago it was truly believed to be witches in Salem and women were actually hanged and stoned for practicing "witchery."

It does now, but at the time of the Salem Witch trials, the only person who could've been truly deemed a 'witch' was Tituba.
Laurie Cabot has been deemed the official "Witch of Salem" and is also the founder of "The Witches League for Public Awareness". You can read more about her on her site

Thousands! But don't confuse NOW, with a few hundred years ago. None of those poor people who were killed were Witches.
The Salem Witch Museum has a new FREE exhibit all about REAL Witches, now too!

Yes, actually quite a few. Chris is correct in stating that you probably live within one mile of a practicing "witch". Just that in Salem (I assume you mean Massachusetts, not Oregon) they are not afraid to come out (so to speak). In most other places in the USA persecution still runs rampant. Besides, you don't know, I might be your neighbor! Just say "Merry Meet" when you greet me and you may find out!

if you mean the ones that died during the witch trails.. than no .. if you mean today more than likely.. the way we think of witches is very differently then the way they are,, they are people intune into the mother earth not the type that do bad things to people .. not sure if that makes them good or bad ..mainly because the bible say thou shall not suffer a witch to live ... but it also say thoug shall not comment murder.. so it there fore it is up to him to judge not us and they have alway been a interest to me so much i got a tarrot card set ... those little things are right on target when i use them ..hope i am not damm for it

Yes they do. There is one witch there who has made herself famous because she keeps herself in the public eye and she purposely dresses in stereotypical witch style. I cant remember her name.
