Yes he can win, but only a minority.
Unless it is a majority I see no sense in changing from a Conservative platform to a Liberal platform. The country shifted too far to the left, and needs to become a little more centred.
I believe the Conservatives will narowly get another minority, do a decent job, and get a majority in the following election a year and a half later.
Four years after that the regular pattern of Cons for 8 Libs for 16 will take over and the Liberals will be in power again.

They are ahead in the latest opinion poll, but who knows if the honeymoon will last. I hope so, Canada had many of its best years with the Liberals at the realm, but to be fair. As much as I am not a fan or supporter of Stephen Harper...he has kept many of his campaign promises.
You have to love how some Americans think all questions are about them...buddy there does not know who Stephane Dion is...but its all about America...they really cant think outside the box can they. What a joke...all some Americans need to see is the word Liberal and the gloves come off. I guess they don't teach world politics and history in school anymore.

From what I just read, it looks like Stephane Dion and the Liberal Party of Canada might just win ( he's speaking of Canadian politics, it has nothing to do with Democrats and Republicans)

Yes Dion and the Liberals will win the next election. He is well educated, smart, understands gov't and how it works but most of all he is enthusiastic, energetic and has a love and passion for Canada and ALL Canadians. Harper has a love for power and control...no passion...young man...old politics...citizens are Leary of him and don't want them to have a majority.

I think so. The Conservatives are systematically trying hard to show that they are a good government, but they are so rigid, have no debate within their party about their beliefs - they have no passion for politics. I can't stand the Tories, but Stepane Dion seems like a pretty good guy. We'll see.

Well, all is possible in politics. Dion has the " soft sovereigntists" against him . Tory inroads have been made in Quebec as well. So i'll depend on how Quebec voters feel on voting day. As always.

He doesn't have a chance if people with common sense vote. He claims that he will reduce Canada's oil use without killing the oil industry. Canada's oil industry is at a place now where it needs to not be slowed down at all. Their oil sands have great potential to help people reduce their dependancy on foreign oil all over the world, including here in the US. If Dion is elected, all the work done will be forced to stop and we will stay just as dependant on foreign oil.
His policies to reduce Canada's energy consumption will be expensive and have no guarantees. He is not only the wrong choice for Canada but he is the wrong choice for the world

that's the in common words reason you want to vote? To make marijuana legal for anybody to smoke and get severe in each and every single position? we do not want marijuana to be legal interior the U. S. or Canada. Liberals are dumb sufficient, yet liberals on marijuana will be even dumber.
