what is this part on my 93'. It is on passenger side and it has 2 tubes. one goes into the engine the other into the wheel well or something. There is a wire too. The problem with it is it makes a very loud clicking or putt putt sound after the car warms up. It gets faster with the engine. I know it is this part becuase when i unplugged it it stopped making the noise. and when you put your hand on it you can feel it inside. is it a EGR???? a

not an egr valve, an egr valve is mounted to the intake manifold and recirculates exhaust gases back into the intake,

what you pictured is something else, i cant tell what kind of tubes those are on it

i think it has something to do with the emissions.it must have a hole in it.look and see,if it does,maybe you can patch it,it might save you some money.looks like it comes off the exhaust.

i think its the cold air tube,go to an auto parts and they will tell you for free,
