9004 bulbs are standard halogen bulbs. HID is a different system and requires a kit that usually costs several hundred dollars. The bulbs themselves are also very expensive. If you are looking for something that is going to be brighter and whiter I would recommend the Sylvania Silverstars or the Silverstar Ultras. The Silverstars retail for around $37 for a twin pack and the Ultras are around $50. I believe Pep Boys is offering a $10 mail in rebate on the Silverstars and a $15 mail in rebate on the Ultras through the end of December. Both are street-legal. You can also get some that are brighter that are tagged off-road use only. If you go with the off-road use ones, I would recommend getting some heavy duty sockets (around $10) as they can burn-out/melt your stock sockets. Hope this helps.

No, those are known as "blue bulbs", and they are ****, really. I tried a few sets off eBay, and they failed within 2 months. :P

Buy Sylvania Silverstars. Those are known as "super-bright Halogens", and is the only way you'll get close to HID look without completely replacing the entire light assembly. They are about $25 each, about 8-15 more than regular halogens. They don't look "blue", but they are very bright.

no these are normal halogen lights and does not have the same amount of light output as hids. If u want hids i would suggest u get a projector retrofit with an hid kit.
