How far apart should my contractions be before i go the hospital?

5-6 minutes apart. That's what they tell you, but I didn't have contractions-so I'm not the expert on this...My water broke and I gave birth 15 hours later-no meds, no pain-and I had natural birth...most women hate me when I tell them this...lol

My doctor told me 10 min but I also live 30 min from the hospital in birthing class they said 5 to 7 min apart.

In general, 5 minutes apart.

If your family has a history of quick labors, I'd go in sooner.

If your family has a history for long labors, I'd wait until 3 minutes apart.

I went to the hospital when I had contractions 3-5 minutes apart; they didn't even themselves out, but the pain was enough to know that it was labor, so we went and they were about 2 minutes apart when we got there. 3 hours later, my daughter was born. My family has a history of short labors.

if this is your first one then 5 min should be good if your second or third 10 min
You can actually go at any time and if you are not dialated enuf they will send you home. If you are worried about it go in and see what they say.

I guess that depends how far away you are from the hospital-- if your close mayby every 5 minutes if your a half hour go sooner
