Yes and No... I think there will always be a balance of good and bad people. In times of war you can always find good people; likewise in times of peace you can always find bad people. Certainly, if we were able to increase standards of living worldwide we might be able to raise people who are educated, well-versed, etc...but this says nothing for morality. As for the green alternatives and community service, I tend to find that there are many ulterior motives. Kids do community service so they can put it on the college resumes and go somewhere nice, many do not actually do it BECAUSE they WANT to help the community. And some do buy hybrid or electric cars (Prius, etc) to show off that they have money. It happens. I don't think we can ever achieve the ideal world, a utopia...even in a number of years. Human nature doesn't allow it too. However, we can get as close as possible.

God no! Europe is being destroyed by the monetary weight of their social programs and is becoming Eurabia, with Muslim immigrants starting to take over.
And, what happens to Europe, will be coming here next.
Forget global warming, it all a lies. Our climate goes in cycles, much of which is a direct result of an increase in solar activity. Why is Mars' ice caps shrinking also, our suv's?
We have to focus on the things that we actually have control over, such as radical Islam and it's agenda to bring down the west. Unless you think you future granddaughter would look good in a burka.

It looks to me like all the trend lines are going down. I believe the longer we hold on to our present construct (our general understanding of life and the world in which we live), the worse it will get. As the trends progress, however, and the apparent level of chaos increases, we will reach and cross a threshold where fundamental trust in that status-quo constuct will be broken. At that point, we will be forced to think for ourselves. Hopefully a majority will come to conclusions that represent what is decent and good about human kind.
Hearts really can change overnight. This is the one thing that gives me hope.

Some places in the world yes, some no. As far as the US is concerned we need to become more of a world leader and quit isolating ourselves from the rest of humanity. There will never be a "Utopian" world but I'm optimistic that for our part we can do better.

Well, right now it's terrible. But, the Bible does promise better things to come. (Psalm 72:7; Isaiah 45:18; 9:6,7; Matthew 6: 9,10; Revelation 21:3, 4.)

If I paid that much attention to answers I wouldn't think so at all. But I have hope that it can be brighter and that we can solve many problems. Lately, there has been too much focus on the glumy things and not on the many good things we have.

The world is ever changing. In some parts it may become better whereas in others it will become worse. It will stay about the same throughout the years.

The bible says we are headed for great tribulation. A time when nobody works or eats without the mark of the beast. Sound like a good time to you?

I think the last part of your question pretty much summed up my vision on the future. Strange how we see our own demise, and happily run towards it (don't do anything about it).
