If it's no longer under warranty, go to the site below

http://www.llamma.com/

This site will give you instructions on how to open your psp. As for adjusting the laser, go to the xbox repair section. There will be a section on how to adjust the laser of the DVD player. I know it's not going to be the same thing but it may be close. there should be some kind of POT you can adjust to change the strength of the laser. Just make sure you go with small adjustments until you find something that works. You'll also need a multimeter.

If this turns out to be to difficult or doesn't work, you'll need to send it to a repair shop.

How old is it? If its still under warranty this might be a warranty issue. If you bought it at Best Buy and have the service plan on it, simply take it in to the Tech Bench ( Geek Squad service). If the answer to any of these is No then your only choice is to contact Sony as see if it cost more to repair it then to replace it.
