Its gone midnight here so I will be brief.
In the glucose catabolism test you are looking to see whether or not the organism can catbolise glucose; the Lactic acid bacteria for example cannot metabolise glucose. What you measure is a change in colour of the media. If i remember correctly it is red to blue for positive.
