If its pink eye, it will also be very itchy and when you awake in the morning, you will have a lot of "sleep bugers" in that eye. you might want to go the local pharmacy and ask the pharmacist what you can buy to cure it. Sweetie, take a warm washcloth with a little vaseline petroleum jelly and take your eye makeup off at night. Eyeliner and/or mascara is very harsh on the eyelids and lashes. Also, if it is pink eye, throw away all your eyemakeup that youve been wearing cuz the bacteria is in the mascarabrush, etc. I buy new mascara every 2 months cuz it has a tendency to spoil. Feel better soon!

What you probably have is a stye. Warm compresses every hour, and go to the doctor ASAP for antibiotics. (It's caused by staph, but there usually are no complications.) Whatever you do, DO NOT press on it to aid in drainage.

You should probably throw away any old eyeliner or lash curlers, and if you do, don't use anyone else's. That'll only make it worse, and happen again.

Good luck.

Try putting Preperation H on it for a little bit. Not in the eye..put just pat around. I live off of it...I use it on Red pimples before i get ready and my puffy eyes.

Your doctor may ask several questions when assessing your condition. It is important to remember that your consultation is a two-way process and any extra information you can share with your doctor may help them with their diagnosis.
Sometimes, other symptoms may be present and may help your doctor analyse your condition. these may include:
Rash? - may indicate herpes zoster if rash is blister-like
Eye pain? - may indicate sinusitis, herpes zoster infection, orbital cellulitis
Itchy eye? - may suggest allergies or blepharitis
Fever? - may indicate sinusitis, orbital cellulitis, trichinosis, Chagas' disease
Eye discharge? - e.g. purulent (pus-like) discharge usually indicates a bacterial infection; a clear watery or mucous discharge may suggest viral or allergic conjunctivitis
