If you are a "good" lawyer then, yes, you will be doing homework for the rest of your life. 70% of being a lawyer is researching your case. I spend on average 20+ hours per week study for law school. In addition, I work full-time as a paralegal and spend 80% of my job "researching" legal issues.

As a lawyer, the answer is 'yes', you will do homework the rest of your life.
Law school is pretty time intensive--15 hours per week of class and an additional 15-25 reading/studying, if you are devoted.
Good lawyers have to constantly prepare for cases and must read bar bulletins or other updates on the law at least weekly. I know I didn't realize that your job as a lawyer is never really 'over' at the end of the day or week.

I would be a great lawyer and would help the needy and the ones that do not know much about the law and stay in studies updates
daily concerning the laws of this land. Right now I could not perform this duty to study hours which would be needed but if I did it would probably average about 30 hours per week. Being a good and honest and devoted lawyer takes lots of time.

Depends--usually about 25-30 but when finals get near probably 60 or so (and I know people who work longer)
Good new is though that law school only lasts 3 years and then hopefully you get a job and then have interns do all the legal research for you.

Study habits determine how long you have to spend doing it. Each person has their own level of absorption of data and organization. After You have passed the bar and done your internship the legal aids and junior staff members will do the legwork while you direct them. Lawyers are just like other management. They form the plans and see execution of purpose to gain victories.

The truth is you will be doing home work until you get rich enough to hire some paralegals to do the work for you
